Chemistry

Associate Degree Program

If understanding the composition and properties of substances and the elementary forms of matter interests you, then the Chemistry program at Delaware Tech will give you the skills needed to work as a chemical technician in a laboratory setting. You will learn how to follow basic safety procedures, prepare laboratory solutions, analyze samples using common qualitative and quantitative techniques, and use and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.

Chemical, pharmaceutical and related industries employ scientists at all degree levels in research, production, and quality control laboratories, and in customer service and related areas. Upon completing the program, you will be prepared to apply your knowledge of science and mathematics in a professional laboratory setting where you will integrate scientific knowledge, laboratory skills, and critical thinking to solve chemical problems.

Offered at the following campus(es): Stanton

What You Can Do

In this program, you will gain the knowledge and skills to prepare you for positions such as:

  • Chemistry technician
  • Research technician
  • Environmental Chemistry technician
